Advanced Spanish III is a full-year course for students seeking a more intensive Spanish language experience. The course builds upon the foundational skills of Spanish I and II while deepening proficiency in interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational communication aligned to the ACTFL Proficiency Standards. Reading, writing, and discussion in Spanish are emphasized. The second semester of Advanced Spanish III is offered in partnership with Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) and provides the opportunity to earn 5 college credits. Upon successful completion, students are encouraged to continue with Spanish IV or Advanced Spanish IV.
