Drama is a one-semester theater and performance course which focuses on body control, voice, improvisation, and character analysis. First-time students will learn acting basics using Uta Hagen's techniques to create believable performances. This course also covers mime, movement, teamwork, and audition skills, concluding with the performance of scenes from plays. Students may take the course a second time, building on what they learned previously, focusing more on Stanislavski’s methods and exploring deeper character development and performance techniques.
